An addittion from the last report, I was only able to record succesfully 1 DVD+RW complete(2hr setting), playing with various recording speeds and all remaining recording trials get stuck after 40-50 minutes of continuous recording, really bad considering the quality for the first 50 minutes.
You cannot play slow motion in recorded titles.
The Menu is not good enough, never able to see anything trough the RF input.
Both Composite Inputs and S-Video very fine quality. As soon as you get used to the menu system it is fine but quite different from the other ones I do have (SONY, YAMAHA). Plays VCD, SVCD XVCD. 5.1 outputs. only able to put names in lowercase with no spaces and no special chracters. All Media was Verbatim. |

I lost the remote for this one, you cannot record using this one as a recorder without the remote. Service from Polaroid is fair but slow.
As a player is really oustanding.
It plays VCD and SVCD far better than my Sony, I have not tried other variations for this palyer.
SVCD, VCD were recorded on Memorex and Vervatim both CD-R |

| The Polaroid DVR-0800 is a pretty piece of junk. Don't even dream about setting it up through your satelite system. What a disappointment! |
