CVD? $100 over 1 year 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: I have confirmed these play on cd-R's (Philips): mp3 cd (direct transfer) audio cd (transfer throuh microsoft option) VCD (from microsoft movie maker 10) SVCD (from tenpgc?) and rented DVD and video (all fine) Does not play: Highmat VCD (from microsoft movie maker 10) AVI (direct transfer to CD-R) ... That's all I've tried so far. Thanks for the site

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: bought this unit 3 days ago. replaced a cyberhome 300 (unit would skip/freeze with dvd-r). this polaroid has played every dvd-r and dvd+r that i've thrown at it without skipping or freezing (cmc, ritek, ricoh, tdk); also dvd+/-rw, vcd, svcd, cdr, cdrw, wma...no problems with the vcr either. i've burned the dvds with a liteon 851s burner, and used clonedvd2 and nero recode 2, verifying the burns with liteon's kprobe and dvdinfopro. my only suggestion would be for polaroid to remove the icon that appears on the screen when you use the zoom function. i've emailed support and they responded within 5 hours (great response time) - but they confirmed that there is no way to remove the icon that appears. because it was annoying to me - i gave a 9 out of 10 rating.

CVD? $100 N/A 6 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Everything I tried works. All the playback controls function for VCD/SVCDs. Most of the PBCs on the other players I tried didn't work. There are problems. The RF in/out degrads the signal so recording a VCR and watching TV through the player is poor. One last thing is the Progressive scan is noisey. So the best picture is obtained from the audio/video jacks. I tried two of these combo units and returned both. They both had the same problems. So now I have a JVC doesn't the same problems but it has others.

MP3 WMA CVD? $100 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-WMA DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: I'm pretty happy with this player right now. I picked it up on 01/19 and have thrown quite a bit at it so far. Plays everything I have from previous CD Writers and is playing everything burned on new MagicSpin 8x DVD burner as well except for non-mpeg videos. Picture and sound is great for both DVD and VHS, certainly better than Apex 1200 which started to malfunction on me. The remote is a standard, not universal remote unfortunately and its buttons are little hard to operate with big fingers, but works well otherwise. The only thing I have wondered about on the unit is when ejecting or inserting a VHS tape, there is a loud "springy" noise almost making it sound like something is going to break. I am going to contact Polaroid and find out if this is normal or if there is indeed something broken. For $100 bucks this is a great player!

N/A No rating JPG/JPEG Comments: works well and is cheap. My only complaint is that there is a large delay in changing channels (you get a blue screen for a few seconds between channels when hopping)
