It seems almost exactly like the new model on features and only different in the chasis design. I havent found a disc or an dvd backup that can stop it. I took my lg 8900p back to buy this one as the lg would jitter on backed up dvd's. The pioneer plays all formats flawlessly. Best feature about this dvd player is that it DOES DTS DECODING ONBOARD! This means no need to buy a home theatre amp.. though I may get one down the track. 2 thumbs up from me!

CVD? $125 2 days 9 of 10 DivX Comments: Would be a 10 BUT says NO DISK on all DVD -R backups has to have original DVDs wont played copyed backups at all wish there was a hack, Yes plays original Zoned(1,4 tested and works) movies but not Copied. Doesnt ANYONE think that nuts, it will play downloaded TV series, Movies which are xvids fine but NOT copied DVDs.

MP3 WMA CVD? $? 30 days 10 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-MP3 DivX Comments: for the price this is one awesome dvd player.with sacd/dvd audio thrown in.picture and sound are up there with players triple the price.....dont hesatate ,just get one.this is the same as the pioneer 565 also found here.

Its Divx certified.Got mine at JBhifi Mt gravatt Qld got them down to an even $200 so im happy with that Just go buy it.
