MP3 WMA CVD? $125 over 1 year 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-MP3 Comments: This player has played everything that I require it to play. I use the cheapest dvd-r disk I can find and have never found a brand that doesn't work. Love the front panel menu control buttons.

CVD? $100 7 days 8 of 10 Comments: Just got this player because my old JVC wouldn't play DVD+R DL. This was the 5th dvd player I bought in two days and was the only one that worked with my media. I tried both Verbatim and Platinum (Ritek media)2.4x DVD+R DL of the same ripped dvd movie (book type for both was DVD-ROM). DVD was ripped, and iso image created with dvd decryptor and both discs were burned using nero 6.6. Unfortunately, these are the the only DVD+R DLs I have, but this look very promising. They played immediately with no hesitation or shutter. Picture and audio quality was wonderful. Although I haven't tried it yet, the SACD funtion should be very nice. Oh, I also tried DVD-/+R with no issues. 8 out of 10 only because I need to perform more testing...consider this a prelim rating.

MP3 320kbit/s WMA CVD? $200 2 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-WMA DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX Comments: Also the player supports dvd / dvd-audio / sacd/wma/jpg/mp3/dvd-ram player easy setup no audio sync problems. Only problem noticed so far. When playing mp3 or wma cd's make sure there are no jpg files on the cd otherwise there are no way of accessing the mp3/wma files on the cd/dvd true pal/ntsc conversion Progressive scan NTSC only @ 480p Multizoned out of the box. only rated 7 due to mp3/wma jpg incompatability. All the other players (such as sony, lg and omni) I've used can support both mp3 and jpg and can play eith from the same cd.

CVD? $550 N/A 8 of 10 DVD-RAM Comments: Got the Pioneer DV-667A-k today – Had to take to back to the shop to get it multi-zoned. I like the picture and the additional formats. See how we go over the next week. I am using a Yamaha RX-V2300 receiver with it driving older Kef speakers.

Sow (but not too slow) in reading JPEGs especially with higher pixel size. Very cheap (I mean price) player. Converts PAL to NTSC system and vice versa (you can play/view PAL disc on dedicated NTSC TV). No HDCD decoding. 2X & 4X zoom. No .5, 1.5 or 3X zoom function. With Resume function. Video off (CD, SVCD, MP-3 only)
