CVD? $? 120 days 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename Comments: Excellent Lecteur Audio et Vidéo pour découvrir le SACD et le DVD audio Mais - apparemment pas de redirection des basses du LFE en 5.1 vers les enceintes gauches et droites quand on met caisson sur None (Test fait avec la plage réglage de David Gimour Live) - lecture des jpg très lente: obligation de les redimentionner en 720. Obligation de cloturer le DVD Acheté 350 euros en avril, il est à 250 euros....

CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: To all those who are worried about the payer not being able to generate PAL progressive signal - please note that P dv565 is able to automatically convert signal from all DVD discs created in PAL into progressive NTSC (manual desribes how it can be done). The pictrue quality of NTSC progressive is noticable better than ordinary PAL via RGB Scart outputs, even when it is converted from PAL. regards KL

I've tried several types and brands (burning HW: Philips DVD+RW D-28 with FW 1.62 from Dell. Burning SW: Nero 6, Alcohol 120%, DVDXCOPY Platinum, DVD Clone) and the 565 has played them all: Traxdata DVD+R 2.4X Traxdata DVD+R 4X Traxdata DVD+RW 4X Ricoh DVD+R 4X Datawrite DVD+R 2.4X Datawrite DVD+R 4X Philips DVD+RW 2.4X 3T PRO DVD+RW 2.4X Verbatim DVD+R 2.4x Verbatim DVD+R 4x Datasafe DVD+R 4X Traxdata is my favorite - looks like some budget gear but burns and plays like charm. And it's the cheapiest of them all. As you live in Sweden you can get them from Clas Ohlson or www.discatonce.se. The player then? I have nothing to compare with but I guess it's neither better nor worse than any other player in it's price segment. It's start-up time is rather slow, but perhaps that is a characteristic seen at DVD players in general. It has Progressive Scan. But NOT in PAL, only NTSC. Which is sad as PAL is the standard system in Sweden.

"plug and play" ! ça marche tout seul. - dvd+r, low-cost, imation, philips, sony - dvd-r, low cost - dvd+rw, ricoh, sony - Graveur sony dru500 - dvd shrink - nero 6 Pas grand chose à dire, hormis peut-être, le svcd qui se bascule en 16/9 sans que je sache pourquoi (mais très certainement un pb d'encodage). Image très bonne. Pas encore essayé SACD ou DVD-Audio. Du grand pioneer...

N/A No rating Comments: Before i buy this player i have to be sure that it can handle dvd+r. Can anyone tell me for sure that it works? no problems? The reason why i´m wondering is that in the Website for Pioneer Sweden they wrote in the specifications for this player that i handles DVD-R and DVD-RW. DVD+R is not mentioned. All the stores in Sweden seems confused because of that, know one knows if it handles DVD+R! So i wrote an E-mail to those pricks on Pionner Sweden and they haven´t answered me back! So thats why i´m asking you if you know for sure. thank you.

When playing DVD-MP3 (burnt in Nero as UDF -- ISO won't work), folders and tracks in each folder are listed in reverse alphabetical order, while on CDR-MP3 the alphabetical order is correct. Ideas anyone ? Please post response as comment on this player or email me... Thanks a lot!

I did one dvd-r with Nero 6 but it didnt work so i stick to CopyToDvD.

It's a fantastic multiformat DVD Player! 330€ in France :-P I use DVD-R XeO, Ritek & DVD-RW Verbatim, Pioneer without problems.

Plays whatever disk you put in :jpegs(with thumbnails, rotate, zoom),mp3(both in cd and dvd,with random play in current folder or in all folders),cd,cvd,svcd,sacd,dvd-audio. Buy it!!!! (390 euro in Greece.)
