WMA CVD? $? 180 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG Comments: Second message. After taking some time to use the player and trying different features I rate this player very high. I primarily use it for video movie playback and audio CD play. It plays all CD, CDRW, DVD+R, DVD+RW in audio, DVD, VCD and SVCD formats with no problems. I have had some difficulty playing DVD-R movies, not sure why. Player worked just fine with DVD-RW. Good player at a good price. Tictoe

CVD? $? 30 days 9 of 10 DVD-MP3 Comments: Pioneer DV-366 is probably the best mp3 player you can buy. Max. 1000 titles on DVD-mp3 - I think each folder name considered as one title. Random play too! (Is Pioneer the only brand with random play?) Be advised that the later model DV-373 plays over 1500 titles but without random feature. Anyone find a better mp3 player please tell.

CVD? $150 N/A 10 of 10 MPEGISO Comments: I've tested with bulk dvd+rw media from meritline. This player is multi-system on non-multi system televisions. Directions for configuring this feature are in the instruction manual. Tested with region 2 PAL discs on NTSC television. Works great, I'm very happy with the quality of player.

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Overall, I like the DVD playback on this unit. Also bought on salesman's recommendation and on his word that it was a multi-region player. I used Nero to create VCD's. However I found that the picture quality is sharper and smoother when viewing the same data via TV-out from my PC. I primarily need the Pioneer for playing DVD's though. The black 366 has a neat profile that fits my taste in AV components.

Do any one know if labels produce malfunction in other dvd players.

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename DivX Comments: I bought this DVD Player mostly for listening to DVD+-RW-MP3 and it works flawlessly with no problems on both DVD formats. Its only a pity it does not support long file name nor in the front display neither in the TV (where it displays most of its configuration and display menus). Its also a pity that you can not randomize and repeat at the same time, and the next time you play the DVD-MP3 you must switch your TV to select ramdom or repeat again. Its a bit of a pain. DVD-MP3 where burned with NERO 5.3 in DAO mode (no multisession). BEAWARE that if the DVD/CD-MP3 has even one JPG (say, a front cover jpg) it will only display it but will ignore the MP3s. Havent try much DVD Video but until now I havent had any problems on this department. If anyone is asking whats the diference between this and the DV 363 model, is that this one is made in Panama, so its multivoltage (110/220v) and multizone by default, instead the 363 is only 110v and zone locked but local stores transform them to 220v (like in Argentina) and multizone hack them also. If you can, go the right way and buy the 366.

Backup with DVDShrink & DVD2One.

N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: This model is excellent at handling DVD-R copies burnt with Nero.Even better than the very good Pioneer DV-444.From several DVD-R and -RW of different brands I have tried only one stuck slightly at a few scenes but was still playable ( was unplayable on the 444}. The progressive scan is great on ntse but it converts pal movies to ntsc progressive which is not as good but does not matter much to me as my tv [Toshiba 32zd26p] does not seem to accept progressive pal. Also the picture quality when comparing the same movie in interlaced mode {progressive ntsc is obviously superior) played on the Pioneer dv 444 is equal or better, but the sound level was slightly lower and needed a + 5db adjustment on the amp approx to approch the same level of the 444. Overall a great player especially if one needs a model that accepts dvd-r, -rw . I cannot comment on +R as my burner does not support this format.

The dealer convinced me that the new dv366 was a better machine with all the guts of the dv355 and more. I agree. This is highly recommended. Please note that the software was modified locally to accommodate dvds from India with 2 movies on one disc and fairly complex ifos This machine handles all It was also modified for multizone function and macrovision suppression.
