CVD? $? 30 days 4 of 10 MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: this DVD player doesn`t work with ISO CD and ISO DVD i tryed with different kind of disk even with other equipment of the same model but was impossible. i replaced it for LG model and i`m happy. --***---- Ojo, este equipo no lee archivos MPEG en formato ISO, tal como los lee una computadora. Lo cambié por un modelo LG y no tuve mas problemas.

CVD? $? 90 days 8 of 10 Comments: Bought this as a cheap stop-gap but turned out to be a superb product. Plays dual-layer DVD+R recorded on a variety of media. I have successfully used Verbatim, TDK, and Traxdata dual-layer media. Have only tried Sony and Verbatim DVD-R, with no problems there. Right now I am using RGB Scart, but will be trying progressive scan component connection when I get my new TV. Picture through RGB Scart is excellent. Note that there is no s-video output, so you are limited to composite, Scart (RGB or composite), and component video output.

I tried out some settings in video settings menu and changed the output from RGB to Y Pb Pr even though I am using a Scart cable. The result was amazing. The already good picture quality became much better. Strange?? I don,t know? According to user manual you should use special cables for this and your tv should support it. As far as I know my old LG don,t.Any ideas??

You guys might need to get it from there.

CVD? $? 2 days 1 of 10 Comments: I have now returned second unit for refund because it switches on randomly - Philips tell me that they have never heard of this problem!!! I would advise not using Philips products since they are now using telephone numbers at 15p/minute for technical support - it is a disgrace that the consumer has to pay Philips to report a fault when my cost to 01 or 02 numbers is 0.0p/minute.

When turned off (standby) it randomly turns itself on, whether there's a disc in it or not. Which is rather annoying. It doesn't happen a lot, only sometimes, but my guess is that it's not normal.
