MP3 WMA CVD? $175 60 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-WMA DVD-MP3 DivX XviD DVD-RAM Comments: I bought this player specifically because it advertised many different disc-type playback abillities, and I got it as an open box (used) special for $175. I've tried almost everything with good results. DivX and XviD discs do play sometimes with no problems, but most of the time the media (video) has major glithing problems causing the player to freeze up. I'm still trying to figure out if there is an updated firmware, or the problem is my software, or disc-type/brand I use to burn DVD content with my PC. It is true you have to push a button to watch TV, (but then again you have to push a button to make ANYTHING work nowadays right?) From time to time I've had some problems trying to play DVD's or anything connected to the digital input-outputs, IE..(Playstation)ect. It causes the screen to shake, and or green lines to run across the screen. It's strange and somewhat alarming, but to fix that problem you just have to turn the machine off and then on again. It does cause some concern with me but I purchased a 2 year service warranty with an upgrade plan. In other words I wouldnt mind if they stopped making this model and it breaks within the 2 years.

CVD? $? 2 days 3 of 10 DivX XviD DVD-RAM Comments: While the picture quality is good, I am returning this unit since the source switch is hung and now I can't play a VHS videocassette on this unit. It is one of the rare ones to offer a Component video INPUT in addition to an OUTPUT but is quirky. I also painfully noted that the fan is very noisy and you have to press a button to watch TV.

CVD? $350 30 days 8 of 10 Comments: A bit quirky. I am hoping for a firmware update soon. Sometimes needs to be unplugged to stop hang. Stupid user interface. 1. comes up viewing logo. 2.must press button to se TV shows. 3. Ignores button for 10 seconds until it reads DVD. Dubbing tape to DVD does not allow vtr to work. I plan on getting 2 more remotes as it is very remote intensive.
