CVD? $300 N/A 2 of 10 Comments: This and another DVD972 unit do not play Dual layered DVDs in progressive scan mode. The movie pauses randomly throughout the disk for 10 seconds at a time. It is definetile the DVD's problem because I can see the DVD's timer pause for the same 10 seconds. The dual layered DVDs play great when you take it out of progressive scan mode. Single layered DVDs play great in either mode.

CVD? $299 N/A No rating miniDVD/cDVD Comments: Update: Tried the xvcd, xsvcd, and mini dvd images from this site. Non work well. The xvcd and xsvcd play, but very badly. The video and sound both stutter. miniDVD plays as well as the svcd and xsvcd samples, which is not saying much. Again video and sound stutter.
