MP3 WMA CVD? $550 over 1 year 4 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-WMA DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX XviD MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO DVD-RAM Comments: Bought the player about 5 years ago. Was top of the line player when purchased. Sound and Video quality is today still better than the sub $US50 Players that's out there using S-Video and 2 and Digital out channel. (I know, I have one of those). Still play all commercial and rental DVD's without problem as well as VCD and CD-RW's. Plays RitekG03 DVD-R and Sony DVD-R (the plain white ones) burned using Nero V6's Create Video DVD option and Alcohol 120%'s burn Image Option. However, the finished DVD must have at least 4000MB of data written on them for the player to recognize the DVD.

For then It was very good and played all things I put. Now, it doesn't play all burnded DVDs so I need to replace it... Conclusion. Don't buy new ones.

N/A No rating Comments: Imation 1x DVD-R worked, I burned it with Nero using UDF 1.2 mode as asvised in the forums here.

N/A No rating Comments: I rented this DVD player and it couldn't play the burned backup dvd's of RitekG03 DVD-R which have a dark purple bottom color. However it did play the Optodisc branded DVD-R DVD's which I can't play on my Philips 733k but on the Philips 733k I can play the RitekG03 ones.

N/A 5 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX Comments: Tried a DVD-R that a friend gave me, it worked on his Apple Mac, and Philips (Q50?) and Panasonic DVD players, but didn't work on my 725.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Does what it's supposed to do... Plays both PAL and NTSC. I tested the DVD+R and DVD+RW with verbatim media, myDVD and burned them with a HP200i. Sadly, they didn't work.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Problems with VCD encoded with Panasonic & Xing encoders freezing. Those made with TMPG, CCE, Nero play well. FF & REW work OK. SVCD no problems with above encoders. Even possible to get 2hrs playtime on an 80 minute CD by tweaking TMPG settings, quality not the best of course but acceptable. FF & REW work fine, but synch goes out with movies encoded with TMPG. Audio plays 128-224 stereo & joint stereo on SVCD soundtracks (haven't tested other bitrates). No time display on VCD or SVCD. Firmware used is 9.28

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Had problems with VCD CDR burned using Adaptec. Works with Nero VCD option. The Easy creator burns using the UDF format which causes problems with this player.
