CVD? $? 1 days No rating Comments: I am having a problem playing DIVX and XVID files on this player. I've tried using different programs to burn the files with and i keep getting "Can't read this type of disc errors" I've tried with both DVD+R and DVD-R discs. Anyone have any suggestions.

All formats listed on the unit play and I have,t had any problems with it at all. I highly recommend this player for all your disc needs!

CVD? $125 1 days 1 of 10 Comments: Had bought previously the lower model that doesn't have the HDMI output and loved the File menu listing when viewing DivX files. This prompted me to buy this model since I bought an LCD flat panel with HDMI inputs. On the first day, only watched one DVD and on the 3rd episode of a box set TV DVDs, it froze halfway through an episode. Forward and backward wouldn't work. Stop would work but once I pressed the play, it wouldn't play. Now stop wouldn't work either. The only way to get out of it was to power off the unit. Upon powering on the unit, it would display "No Disk". Pressed eject and it wouldn't eject. Powering off again, and pressed eject to remove my disk... At some point the LED display would show an error code "U70-2". Thinking this is possibly the HDMI cable being the cause, checked the connections and they were well inserted at both ends. Removed the HDMI cable and replaced with Component (RGB) cables for video. Again, the DVD would freeze and then the same error would display "U70-2". I am returning this unit to Best Buy. It's a pitty this happened but releived it happened sonner then later. Did a search in Google for "U70-2 Panasonic" and it seems to be a common problem with quite a few models from Panasonic. Seems that Panasonic themselves aren't any help when it comes to this issue either. I will most likely not buy another Panasonic DVD player with HDMI/upconversion support.

MP3 320kbit/s WMA 320kbit/s CVD? $? 3 days 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 MP3 ID3 TAG DivX XviD DVD-RAM Comments: awesome upconverting dvd player.the australian model supports avi and has 5.1 out for dvd audio,some models like the u.s only do this via hdmi.picture is superb via hdmi and upscaling is incredible.the movie cars looks stunning.the sound is as good as my pioneer(awesome).i paid $249 au.and im very happy with it.the tray is a tad flimsy,but over all build quaility is good.plays all i have thrown at it so far....another great dvd player from panny.
