CVD? $700 over 1 year 7 of 10 Comments: Everyone claimed this player could not do cd-r/rw or dvd+/-RW. Sad, as it is a really good quality player. Unfortunately, I have oly had the ability to test cd's up to now. It does read most cd-rw, and its rumored to read some cd-r with very light-colored dye, e.g. green, gold, "blank" and o.c. silver. a few months ago I tested it with a That's Write DVD+R, and it would not read. So I looked around for a new player. I decided to buy the Philips DVP720SA, but before I went to the store, i thought - what the heck, give it a shot. So I rounded up some DVD+R media (have not got around to DVD-R yet), Nanya Plastics, That's Write and Verbatim Pastel. It ate them all like candy :) Guess its gold with DVD+R. But as advice, don't burn at higher speeds that 4x, the player behaviour indicates it has problems reading if burned at higher speeds. I Guess a DivX/XviD player must wait for now.

N/A No rating Comments: Io uso i seguenti supporti dvd decrypter poi dvd2one e in fine nero 5.99.14, usando solo ed esclusivamente supporti princo 1, 2 e 4x, mai e poi mai usare that's write fanno "schifo", ritornando alla masterizzazione fatte tutte le procedure il dvd-r va masterizzato in formato dvd-video, modo 1, senza nessuna restrizione, inserendo tutto il contenuto della compressione nella cartella video_ts e via con la masterizzazione. tanti auguri e buona visione per le vostre copie back-up

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: great player; any DVD shows with great colours and very sharp picture; also the possibilities to adjust audio-playback are great; it DOES play SVCD AND VCD (standard, burnt it with Nero 5.5x and Nero 6; for SVCD set to "ENTRYVCD"), BUT only if burnt on CD-RW (Verbatim, didn't try others yet)

CVD? $500 N/A 9 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: I'm very interested if the player will play DVD-R's or not. Unfortuantely I have no possibilty to get a DVD-R to test it. But I think the player will read the DVD-R's, because you can get the Pana(sonic)DVD-R to make your RV60 region free in form of a firmware upgrade!!!!! So you don't have to open your player and you won't loose warranty!!! Get the Pana-DVD here: http://www.channeltechnology.com/panadiskrent.htm I think it's better to rent it, because if you want to buy the PanaDVD it costs you about 300$!!!! So have fun with this great player!!!
