N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Plays DVD+R movies recorded in my Tritton Viper External Drive using DVDXCopy Ver 1.3 (in ISO/UDF Mode). Will not play movies recorded in UDF Mode, or on +RW media.

MP3 WMA CVD? $550 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Great player with a SUPERB 5 hour battery life, the best of any player. Played almost everything I threw at it. SVCDs play great but header must be converted to VCD and burned as a VCD in Nero. Then it plays the SVCD MPEG-2 just fine. Played CDRs, DVDRs, etc even though the manual says it won't. Also has nice menus with various zoom full/wide screen conversion. Surprisingly needs to use the remote control to access the config menu though. DOWNSIDES: No MP3 capability and controls could be better.

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: I tested with a philips dvd+r recordered with philips dvdr985 and it is GREAT. I do the same with a dvd+rw but not start.

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: WORKS FINE: VCD's recorded on Fujifilm CD-R 700 MB/80 Min. on an HP DVD 100i DVD+RW recorder. Will not play any DVD+RW disks recorded in this recorder though.

CVD? $? N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Well what can i say! looks cool, but that a joke with the svcd's, does it play them, does it not? I put a svcd in and it will start to play it but it jerks, what is the point of this. Panasonic dont mess with us, either play the thing or not. Why does it play it jerky, either it knows the file type or it doesn't! The only tip i can give, is to make mpg file on burn them on the disk as data, try diffrent bitrates! vcd's no problem! would be nice if it could play mp3's as it is a portable unit, for a grand £1000 its pants, really not worth the dosh! Because it cost you loads on money i can improve your life and the files you can watch just follow thes steps: 1 Flog it down the pup, for as much as you can! 2 go to Tesco's and get a Dansai 852 that will play everthing you want it to play! 3 Spend the rest on a pc with a dvd burner 4 Make loads of dvd's vcd's svcd's & mp3's 5 Play them on the player you got at Tesco! CVD? $900 N/A No rating Comments: According to the info on here it's supposed to be able to play svcd's - well it doesn't :( the manual for the unit confirms this as well I tried loads of different encoders with no luck can the person who posted that it supports svcd's please let me know if they are working some magics to make this work regards

CVD? $900 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Working through the DVD-R/RW versus DVD+RW compatiblity issues. DVD-R OK. No other DVD formats seem to work.

N/A No rating Comments: Memorex Gold. Sometimes needs to be fooled by adding a short track (a couple of seconds)to the beginning of the SVCD from a recording which created a usuable SVCD previously. Reason unknown but not necessary 95% of the time.

N/A No rating Comments: I bought this in the uk, the retail price was 1200 pounds, i got a good deal and also got it chipped to play all regions. It plays all cdr although the instructions says that it wont, it also plays vcd.
