N/A No rating Comments: Never had Cd-R work....even TYs. Some CD-RWs work, other don't. Higher speed CD-RWs seem to work the best for me. Successfully used Verbatim/Memorex/HP CD-RWs with VCDs burned from Nero.

N/A 6 of 10 Comments: Despite other reviews which stated that VCD's on CD-R or CD-RW would work I could not get the player to recognize any of these, regardless of the brand of disc. Maybe I've got old firmware on my player (how to check?) as I have had it for quite a long time. DVD+R and DVD+RW movies work great. I've used HP, Verbatim and Memorex media all with great success.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Well, I couldn't get the Sony DVD+RW to work but I got a Maxell DVD-R burnt with my Sony DRU-500AX to work great.. You should have seen the smile on my face when my terrible DVD player finally worked with one of my creations.. It was a wonderful moment!

N/A No rating Comments: Failed to play my Sony DVD+RW I burned with DVD X-Copy. I hate this DVD Player! I had to take the cover off to keep it from overheating.

CVD? $300 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: I tried Imation CD-R and Verbatim CD-R--both did not work. However, the Memorex CD-RW worked flawlessly. It takes a few seconds for the player to recognize the disk, but after that, smooth video and excellent audio. These were burned using AHEAD Nero 5.5.

N/A No rating Comments: None of the CD-R's that I have tried worked. CDRW VCD's work, but had some skipping problems after about 10 minutes. Philips DVD+RW's work flawlessly.

N/A No rating Comments: It is a good player...it plays every vcd i give it pretty flawlessly. I use Verbatim cd-rws and they work great! I used virtual dub and tmpgenc and the vcds work perfectly. If you are having trouble with pausing every second then first try burning at a lower burning speed (helped solve my pausing problems) and in tmpgenc select "Not for framerate conversion" under the advanced tab of the settings. RESULT: Flawless VCD!

N/A 5 of 10 Comments: I tried several versions of CD-RW for VCD's. The Office Depot brand worked only once; I couldn't repeat it. Memorex would read okay, and the display would show the time, but pressing play only showed the DVD logo and wouldn't play the movie. Apple brand DVD-R, burned with iDVD, worked perfectly with a couple of different disks. I tried it with another disk to make sure it worked consistently.

CVD? $325 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: My player seems to have a U suffix to the model number. Used Ulead's DVD authoring s/w to create a VCD on a Sony CD-RW and a Maxell CD-R. CD=R did not work and the CD-RW seems to have been wiped by the DVD player, if that is at all possible. Going to try a HP DVD100i writer, which allegedly produces compatible DVD+RWs.

CVD? $325 N/A No rating Comments: I tried with Memorex and Maxell 1-4x speed CD-RWs. I burned VCD did not work. I burned Audio CD did not work. I burned CD-R with Audio on it, did not work (it worked on my JVC music system). Panasonic A320 clearly says that they do not support CDR, CD-RW, DVDR, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R. Only thing they support is DVD, VCD and Audio CD. Please let me know if I am missing something since three others say that it worked

CVD? $325 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: It works very well with Memorex CD-RW. I created audio CD as well as VCD and it works very well. CD-R does not work. I haven't tried any other media disc.
