But in addition to the HDMI and standard definition Video output I wish it also had a component output to give the ability to pass through closed captioning in a HD format. Some TV shows released on DVD, like Dexter, are released with only the embeded closed captioning (CC) no subtitles. The thing is that CC which in inserted directly in the video stream are not decoded by DVD or BD players. They only decode subtitles. Decoding CC has allways been a task left to the televisions. The problem is that HDMI doesn't pass through subtitles leaving you no option to view HD output with closed captioning. It's either HD output with no CC (through HDMI) or standard definition with CC (through the Video output)!
