CVD? $600 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Excellent machine. I bought mine almost the day it was released in the US....at a costly $600, but it was the best player on the market at that time by the leader in DVD technology at that time as well. In almost 6 years not a single problem. So smooth I even forgot to get my 3-year "extended service plan" tune-up that cost me an arm-and-a-leg...... Only frustration is very limited on what it will play......but since DVD recordable was not even thought of yet at that time for home use, I don't have a single complaint. Great investment!

N/A 10 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Doesn't play all present formats like mp3 etc. and doesn't read cdr's. But it plays dvds excellent and that's why I bought it. very good sound and picture quality.

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: Great machine for its age (3 years), never had a problem. I have used Philips DVD+R media I wrote with a Philips 228 writer and bulk DVD+R media from various sources. All work. Philips DVD+RW did not.

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: This DVD player has lived up to most of my expectations. It provides great video and sound playback. I have had no luck playing CDR or CDRW's and that is my only complaint.

CVD? $300 N/A 3 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: It is complicated to operate. The 6-disk changer stopped working after a few usage (about 30 times) and of course, started right after the warranty. The machine will not read the disk and return a message saying there is no disk. It will load after about 10 times by moving the disk to the next tray and keep loading. In addition, the picture started to go to hell. It was more like watching a mosaic painting than a moving image. The sound would disappear or jumbled. I tried to contact Onkyo via the internet... got no response after 2 weeks I put in a request for help. I will take me $250 alone to fix it. Otherwise, the machine was working fine when it worked (be sure to read the instructions to avoid frustration). It did play all the HK movies, regular music CDs and all rentals.
