CVD? $? over 1 year 8 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: Very good player. Has worked with DVD+R disc as well, using TDK DVD+R 4x discs. Had no isues with it, works with everything I have thrown at it so far.

CVD? $175 N/A 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: So far ALL DVDs work, all vcd and svcd made with vcdeasy work great even with chapter points, VCDs made with easy cd creator don't work must at all. MP3s work fine, I have use only a few different bit rates, 112 and 128 and 160, unfortunatly, it's only 8.3 filenames. Menu is easy. My homemade SVCDs with vcdeasy work great, and the SVCDs with easy cd creator seem to work ok. On Screen Display (OSD) is cool, but a little tricky to move around. The DVD Player has a screen blanker, zoom and move, on screen stuff including a spectrum display. Karaoke has echo and pitch controls on the OSD, and 2 mic inputs on the front of the unit with gain controls, and the options work good. The Unit seems to have some nice advanced sound menu options too, although it seems to loose the custom settings when you turn the power off. I havn't tried the software bios update via CD-R/W yet, so no comment. The look of the unit is very stylish, the try load mech is super quiet, Disk Detect time varys on medai type. Some CD-R/Ws don't work, I found the cheap-o disks are crap to get working, stick it good brand name disk on this machine. SP/DIF works great, my Sony Digital Cinima Amp decodes 5.1/DTS/AC3 stuff perfectly with this unit. It play music CDs with ease.

CVD? $200 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Good looking machine, good feel to remote. Plays every type of CD-R and CD-RW I've put in. Plays MP3 on CD-RW discs and VCD on CD-R no worries.
