It is 5.1 Surround I bought some leads so I can plug my pc 5.1 speakers into the back of the player as there are sockets for all channels. It plays XVID & DIVX from cd or dvd and basically anything I try (Also if ur xvid or divx has a 5.1 soundtrack it will play) I haven't tried subtitles yet Occaisionally I find an XVID that doesn't play very well. It seems to slow down when there is a lot of detail on the screen. I suspect that it is having trouble with high definition images

MP3 WMA CVD? $? 180 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DivX XviD DVD-MPEGISO Comments: Very good little player. Takes a little time to startup but after that it resonds very well. A lot quicker than my old kiss player. Also supports the Nero Digital format. To make it region free: 1. Power the system on. 2. Open the tray (Empty) 3. With the remote control enter the following digits to obtain your specific region: 4. 1-0-3-0-0 5. Replace the last digit with 1 for US or 2 For UK. 0 as above sets the unit to region free.
