CVD? $80 30 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG MP3 long filename DivX Comments: This is my second 42068. Both had problems with some audio cd's (e.g. 1492 vangalis). After firmware update (www.medion.de) subtitles work and my vangalis cd plays without stopping at random tracks. It play lots of my (s)vcd, divx, xvid, mp3 and (all) dvd media. Good player for 71 Euro.

Experienced DTS/DD sound problem when playing back burned .vob files on a CDR. (THX/DD/DTS demos). Player have not failed playback on any of my brand new and old Divx / xvid movies. New firmware available from http://www.medion.de. This firmware update make it possible to playback subtitles in .rts and .smi format.

The only negative side i noticed untill now, there seems to be no support for subtitles while playing divx. I wonder if medion will release a update in the future???

MP3 WMA CVD? $70 14 days 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG DivX Comments: Excellent DivX/Xvid/3ivX player. Out of around 100 CDs ranging from 2 years old to very recent only 3 failed to read. Given the troubles I've had over the years getting my PC to read movies it's quite astonishing to witness. Tests run by spanish users confirm the high level of compatiblity: http://www.forodivx.com/showthread/t-34987.html http://www.forodivx.com/showthread/t-34972.html Note that it appears to use the MT1389FE chip (hidden under heatsink, but all other clues indicate that chip). The negative points are : - Mine is region locked any so far I've not discovered a hack. It appears that some are sold multi-region and some locked. - Subtitle support is apparently poor (non-tested by me) - Medion don't seem to release firmware updates all that much
