N/A 7 of 10 Comments: This is a very nice unit and does a fine job with DVD-R video disks. However, it is kind of dated now.

CVD? $400 N/A 7 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: The trick with this DVD Player and VCDs is that the VCD disc must be at least 400 megs in size. Anything smaller and the VCD will not play. My trick is to have a filler mpeg file of black/no audio which I add to the the disk to make up the missing disk space. I can now create playable VCDs 100% of the time on CD-Rs. It will not play CD-RWs.

N/A No rating Comments: Only plays VCDs created with Nero on Memorex Silver CD-Rs (Part Number 3202-3104). I have tested 25 different CD-Rs, the the Silver Memorex are the only one's it will play. It will not play Maxell or HP CD-RWs. There also seems to be a problem with the HP7200i internal IDE CD Writer. It will not create VCDs (tested playback on Sony and Marantz). I am now using a SCSI Plextor PlexWriter 4/2/20 and it works perfectly!Supports Digests, Freeze Frame and Scan Forward and Back.I caputered and edited the orginal footage with a Studio DC10+ MJPEG card which renders and AVI file. Then converted the AVI to MPEG with TMPGEnc (beta 12a) and used Nero to burn it to VCD.
