This is a very nice DVD-player. It's also my first, so I haven't really been able to compare it to any other player. But I can say that everything I have tried has worked. I've installed Fallenangel's unofficial firmware, which made the DivX subtitles look better. The lack of 5.1 audio output makes me give this player "only" a 9 instead of a 10.

Good DivX Player, great quality, but it cannot read Verbatim DVD Dual Layer 8,5 Gb !!! Is it possible? Other players read them perfectly !!! Help me if you can at ilgiga@email.it

I have tried the hack given on this web site and it works. This dvd player does not play the HVD (high definition dvd's) but it plays your existing dvd's in high definition mode by way of changing it from remote control resolution button.Awesome.

Very satisfied. Play everything I want. Most used for DivX-Xvid movies. Subtitles no problem. Even better when applying Unofficial Firmware upgrade by "FallenAngel" (http://dvx9900.altervista.org/index_en.htm) Self made Home-DVD works fine with the use of DVD-Lab Pro!

This player was strongly advertised and indeed it is very good, however it is definetly NOT A best buy...I am quite disappointed it does not have no optical and no 5.1 audio output and it is still twice more expensive then Quadro or Amstrad models which are having all those connections...

This is my 1st DVD player. I simply don't know what more I need. I rate it 7, for good luck. It is Mediatek based player. I simply can't tell how much I am satisfied with it. Everything I tried so far worked. I have 3 mega camera, burned my pictures to DVD+RW and it played it. Even panoramas I made worked. Croatian subtitles for DivX is available, but it works better if polish is choosen. QPEL DivX worked. I like how it is designed. For me it is important that it's front color is not silver. Remote controler is also nicely shaped. It is easy to use to it.
