I am quite sure that methods of tuning of non DVB versions of this recorder series are even applicable to DBRH versions. There is a so called Secrete Service Menu existing by which means you can upgrade your low end recorder to a highly valuable version. Of course, I can not give any warranty, all experiments are at your own risk, but here in Europe many users successfully upgraded their recorders. CVD? $? 1 days 1 of 10 Comments: Machine itself seems very good, but we had a fairly major stumbling block. As Mike stated, you can't record into this machine from an NTSC VHS tape - which is the whole damned reason this machine was purchased in the first place! This incompatibilty isn't mentioned anywhere in the owner's manual, and LG online is a joke - can't even submit the report form at present... It's going back to the store for a refund even as we speak... Golden rule if you're purchasing to transfer NTSC VHS material to disc - check compatiibility before you leave the store!

CVD? $? 7 days 6 of 10 Comments: Still playing hence the normal rating seems good though. One problem if you have NSTC videos tapes you canot play them back through this recorder, bit of a bummer as I am converting my video collection.

CVD? $? 14 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename DivX XviD DVD-RAM Comments: Me again. I found new troubles with this recorder. If you plays VCD pcb (VCD in a different rate than 1125) you will not see the end of the movie. The recorder will fail reading code time. The time run faster than real and when it thinks than it have reached the end of the time the playing stops, movie ends or not. I am open for more testing, just let me know. CVD? $550 14 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename DivX XviD DVD-MPEGISO DVD-RAM Comments: LG put it so early in market so it had many bugs. Every week they get a new Firmware version but updatable only by LG service. Good picture quality. Good resolution button in remote control (change between 576i, 576p, 720p or 1080i)just one clic. TDT works fine but when bad signal you get black flashes. Really nice the turner, it does not difference between Analog o Digitat broadcasting (you dont need to push a remote control button DTV/ATV, it does not exist). It plays all mi mp3 discographie and all mi divx movies. A littel bit noisy baut you notice it at night when pushing "mute" button. Juancaruca
