CVD? $250 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: plays vcd, svcd once you enable it using remote control "programming" you have to hit certain buttons in a certain order to get it to work, it is simliar to the Oritron programmimg, I can't remember how to do it, that is what I am looking for again

N/A No rating MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: VCDs work but can occasionally freeze up. DVD-Rs are more problematic. The first dvd-r I tried played but the audio skipped rather frequently, and it occasionally would freeze. The second DVD-R (bought off ebay) worked with no problems. Don't know what the differences could be.

CVD? $200 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: Confirmed VCD and SVCD will play in Koss C928 using the VCD enable hack. CHEck in hacks to find the VCD enable. Alos plays MP3's Not sure what the maxium bitrate is.

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: This is a all in one box. It has a 350W amplifier (into 5 channels, therefore 70W a channel). It also comes with 5 speakers and a 50W powered sub. The system sounds pretty good (not great, but it only cost $200). The sub could be a litte better. This system does not play VCD or SVCD. (which sucks). This system plays MP3-CDs. It can not play MP3s in a random (or shuffle) order. (wich super sucks). It can play CD tracks in a random order. (Go figure, they allow it to shuffle a 20 track CD but not a 128 file MP3-CD). It will display the 8 char. file name of the MP3 on the screen and on the display. It does not support ID3 tags. It does have a nice interface to create your own play order. It appears the Koss C220 and C928 have the same internal software.
