CVD? $? over 1 year 7 of 10 Comments: Quirky but cheap. Came with 5.1 speaker system and has good sound quality. Dissapointed that this unit will not play VCD SVCD. JPG interface is not very friendly. Will not utilize subwoofer with analog inputs. Didgital out has to be reset often when changing media.

N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG MPEGISO Comments: Okay, let me start by saying that I'm a fairly tech savvy guy but I don't have a great deal of time to delve completely into all the details of this player yet. However, I do have some interesting tidbits of information. 1: This seems to be the same player/receiver that can be purchased as the Hiteker HE-1800 and the APEX HT-180. (Don't make any attempt to get ANY information from KLH as they will redirect you to a third party service vendor who, er, is less than efficient at providing useful information) 2: SVCDs will not play when burned as SVCDs. Interestingly enough, when the 'avseqXX.mpg' files are copied/extracted from an SVCD and placed on a DVD-R, they will play...BEAUTIFULLY. I definitely think this qualifies as 'Plays MPEG1/2 ISO' although I've only tried with an SVCD so I can't say whether the MPEG1 thing is valid or not...yet. 3: I'm not too knowledgeable on the various type of DVD-R media out there yet but the type I've used are pretty generic. They're branded 'Princo' and they've got a purplish tint to the burning surface and a flat white labeling surface. I hope this is of interest and useful. I'd welcome and in fact hope for further information from others to help make this a bit more comprehensive in terms of information.
