MP3 VBR 320kbit/s WMA CVD? $300 over 1 year 6 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG MPEGISO DVD-RAM Comments: As part of a package deal (with receiver) this 5 disc changer is worth the money. It does have a few drawbacks, and sometimes needs TLC to make some things work, for the basic playback of commercial DVD/CD and homebrewed CD-R/CD-RW it works well enough. S-Video and Composite Video out. Coaxial, Optical and Analog Audio outputs. Downside: Takes forever to stop a disc, and will not change to a disc stopped while the drawer is open. MP3 titles are severely truncated on display. Overall, don't buy this if you need a high end player or if it is not part of the package deal (the receiver in the package is actually is quite excellent, and makes up for the drawbacks of the changer). Otherwise, go ahead and purchase this model, and it should suit your needs.

N/A No rating Comments: VCD have always worked. Tried several SVCD on diff. brand CDRs and they just don't work. All DVD-R/+R I've tried have worked (5 different ones) on generic and Memorex 1X media. A solid player for watching most DVDs and DVD-Rs, but not a choice for SVCD.

MP3 WMA CVD? $200 N/A 5 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Used TDK 4x DVD-R media (same as came with unit) with TDK indiDvd 440 external burner. Only gripe is that changing chapters, selecting menu options, etc... resets the digital audio, but it does this for commercial DVDs too.

N/A No rating DVD-RAM Comments: Which DVD+R media does this player work with? I have tried using the memorex DVD+R and it very choopy and glitchy.

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Works great with any CDR/RWs I have tried so far. Used Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 for those. Made some VCDs with VCD Easy and they work great. Chapters on them work great also. Haven't tried any DVD-R/+R yet, since I can't burn them. I've made a lot of MP3 CDs using Easy CD Creator 5 and they all play excellent. Overall, a good player....lacks a couple higher end features, but for a progressive-scan 5 CD changer, I think this is the best you can find for that cheap a price.
