Comments:
1. When changing the divx/xvid subtitles by pressing the subtitle key on the remote, the movie gets frozen, sometimes up to 1 minute (!) or so. That is very annoying when you have 6 movies on a dvd and you have to wait this long until you reach the 6th subtitle.

2. Sometimes, when the subtitle has 3 lines, the very top line is not erased before the next subtitle is displayed. It stays on the screen together with the new subtitles.

3. I couldn't figure out how the goto function works to jump to a specific time, so I guess it's also a bug

4. The volume keys on the remote have no effect

I also have a few suggestions, in case some developpers might read this:

1. I would expect the subtitle to be automatically chosen if the name of the .srt file is the same as the main movie file name. The software doesn't work like this, so I have to blindly search for the right subtitle file through the 6 potential files on a dvd.

2. It will be also nice to have a thin black outline around the subtitles letters. It will really help when the subtitle is displayed on a white background.

3. The subtitle font seems a little too big for me.

If it is not too complicated, having some sort of subtitle setup could improve most of the above.

Otherwise, I like the image quality both on DVD's and Divx/Xvid.

Comments:
The Jamba XDVD 1000 from Innovum is now available in Germany at 'MediaMarkt' & 'Saturn' for EUR179.
What really sets this player apart from the competition is its small size and optical 'metal look'.
But inside it uses the same Sigma Designs chip as found in the KISS player, so I guess it can't handle QPEL and GMC.
But straight out of the box this player plays DivX 3.11, DivX 4.02, Divx 5.02 and higher. Besides MPEG4, AVI, MP3, JPEG and DivX, this player can also play Xvid.
This player can also be used where the mains voltage is between 90-240V and 50-69Hz.
But unfortunately the one I bought had a small defect, so I had to return it to the shop and because they were all sold out so quickly, I must now wait for a replacement.
