Bought this at Walmart a few (3?) years ago. Plays great. I get at least 2 hours on a battery. It has stood up to my kids abuse. We even used it as our only home DVD player. (I have rarely used just the built in LCD display. Turn it off and get longer battery life.)
It has played everything I have created with my Apple Powerbook; CD-R,R/W, DVD-R,R/W. It plays DVD-MP3's (no long name support), DVD-JPEGS (it even plays the jpeg's from a web page I created with iPhoto.)
The only downside is you do need the remote to use on screen menu's. If it did this and played Divx's files I would have given it a 10 out 10. |

Best priced portable dvd player around! Great portable size, comes with cigarette power cord, house power cord/battery charger unit, portable battery clips onto the back of the player, everything you need!
Audio is great, has DTS sound output, optical audio jack!, composite video out, line out, stereo headphone jack. Plays all my dvd-r and dvd+r without any issues. Plays CDRW fine and CDR fine. Havent tried my dvd+rw yet, but I highly doubt there will be an issue. Also features an Antishock system. I haven't been able to get this thing to skip yet! Great for the car, and able to be hooked up to sunvisor lcds if you prefer with the video out option on the player. The complete solution for portability, trips, hotel use, car use, etc! |

| Great size and design, poor electronics. Image was O.K. but somewhat pixelated whenever displaying strong computer generated graphics, much smoother when displaying actual movie footage. Very noisy motors, specially when loading discs. Not even 10 minutes into playing began freezing. Tried several different discs with same results, being some weren't even read by this player. Was unable to watch brand new disc bought at same time as player. Turned off and disconnected power cables, tried again next morning, this time unit would not load any discs at all. Returned unit to wal-mart. Thumbs down for wasting my time. |

| Got from walmart for $178.0 and works perfect. Battery lasts from 2 to 4 hours depending on volume and if using lcd screen. LCD picture small and fair but for size its pretty good. All the necessary accessories- 12 volt plug; 120 volt plug; lithium battery and charger; remote; cables etc. Have used it with another tv and picture very good. If your traveling its easy to carry and can watch your dvd's using other televison sets. |

| Had this player a week or so. Bought from Walmart.com with no hassles. Best feature... it plays ANY .mpg or .jpg or .mp3 file on your CD, CD-R, CD-RW. Using the remote, you can move through the file structure and playback video or pictures or mp3's. Plays .mpg video of any resolution or quality as far as I can tell, does not need VCD standard .mpg file. Have used CD-R's from Staples, Imation, Hi-Val, etc; CD-RW's from Memorex, SmartBuy; no problems. Points off because you MUST use the remote to access the disc features or file structure, only basic buttons on machine; no s-video. I don't know much about mp3 file names, it displays the first 10 characters of the filename, no tag. |
