Have had some problem at first with keeping up with the high bitrate divx/xvid but problem seems to be mostly gone after installin the update. Selecting subtitle for divx is not that good documented for after the update, but by first selecting the subtitle and pressing the angle button and then selecting the divx movie you get your subtitles. The player is quite sensitive to static electricity

CVD? $125 N/A 9 of 10 DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: I travelled to Germany to buy this unit a few months back and to be honest I could not be happier with it. It plays just about everything, I capture with my ADS DVD capture and burn the captured MPEG file direct to disk, no time wasting rendering. I have burned a test DVD with MPEG files of various formats on the same disk, again no problem for this player just select the file from a windows like browser and it plays ! I have notice that the contrast level of the CVBS video output is very high, using the S-video connection provides excellent quality.

MP3 WMA CVD? $125 30 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO DVD-RAM Comments: This DVD is a replacement for a Hiteker BI-810 that nevere really worked for more that 3 months. This little thing is apparently able to "digest" almost everything, with good result. It (apparently) has PAL progressive scan, Component output, DD internal deconding. Most of All, it works. Well, for now!

EXCEPT .. it has lots of problems with reading original dvds.

CVD? $150 N/A No rating Comments: The player looks great and plays all the divx movies I tried very well with great video quality. One problem is that I can't get .srt subtitling to work although this is a feature of the player. Any suggestions?

CVD? $100 N/A 9 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: I use the S-Video output of this DVD player and the image quality is exellent. Sound is very good and the player by itself is not noisy. I had no problems with loading standard DVDs. The player works fine with DVD +R and +RW burned on NEC 1100A. It plays DivX 5 and DivX 4, but not not with ac3, all these must have mp3 sound. DivX and JPGs are displayed on full screen after updating the player with the newest firmware: http://www.hiteker.nl/model/update_he_940.php
