N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: Great player. Wanted a cheap DVD player with MP3 playback option. Upgraded the firmware to make it Region code and Macrovision free. I can recommend it to anyone!

CVD? $165 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: A very nice player, i can play al my DVD backups from CDR in (X)VCD an (X)SVCD, the best result for a backup you get with DVD2SVCD (see: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd.htm) also my digital photo pictures on VCD made with ULEAD DVD picture show, are really good. The player does only support CVD subtitles. Nice feature is that it's upgradeable bij CDR, (tested O.K.) Only problem: SVCD's made with DVDx and burnt with NERO can not fastforwarding disks ,because then the sound plays later than the movie, no problem if you start the movie and watch it from the begin, also no problems with DVD2SVCD made disks.

CVD? $165 N/A 9 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: Perfect player, low money. with a good amplifier/tuner you have real Dolby Digt Surround and DTS. SCART with RGB perfect picture. The only one DVD player I found with 'one year exchange for new guarantee'.

But if you're using the right upgrade it can even be made Macrovision free and capable to play MiniDVD

CVD? $200 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: Great player only problem is fastforwarding disks burnt with nero, no problem with i-author disks but these disks can be stoped using stop button.

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Cheap player, but can do the job perfect, with a very good screen quality. here in the Netherlands it comes region-free (RCE prepared) without LH-menu. Only had problems sofar with the Disney DVD's which were produced in 1999. (Mary Poppins, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh) all others (including other disneys like Tarzan) work fine.

Works fine on all brands of cd-r / cd-rw.this evening i have (over)burned a 90min cd-r with 88min,25sec video using WinVcr 2.0 and a analog capture card (BT848), Celeron333@417Mhz, 96mb mem, 20,4GB Maxtor, using Nero 5, VCD result is perfect for a cartoon-movie. (little blocks on fast motion.)
