N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I have tested the Verbatim Hi-Speed CD-RW (8x-10x) and it works! I have noticed that if you can see your self on the writing area of the cd then it will work. Take a look at the vitistar, then take a look at Verbatim. This sounds dumb maybe but true, it you see a cloudy picture of your self on the writing of the cd it won't work in this player. Only a nice mirror image on the cd and it will work.

N/A 6 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX Comments: i have burned dvd+r (philips) from divx and authoring with spruceUP. i made menus and finally like that the dvd player can play these Hand-made DVD. otherwise, copy from dvd or dvd remuxed don't seems to be played. only authoring made by spruceUP.

N/A No rating Comments: plays FWS DVD-R burned with nero 5.5.9.14 no problem does not play any DVD-RW burned with either nero or dvd-decryptor had playback problems after 1yr (almost immediately that the warantee ran out). Fixed it by dismantling and cleaning/blowing any dust that might have accumulated in the laser unit. Seems ok now

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Excellent ergonomics. The unit responds to remote commands when off. The eject/load mechanism works while the player is off. This makes remote macros easy. Won't play CD-R media, (Memorex, and cheapies) Plays DVD-R and DVD-RW. However, I encountered skipping problems on 2nd half of disc.

N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Good for what it is, but CD-R and CD-RW discs that I've burned will not play. Also, VCD's that I've burned on CD-R discs will not play.

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: have no fully tested this player with dvdr - dvdrw - cdr - cdrw all the above work on this player with no problems at all it will play vcd - svcd - dvd - dvd/vcd - dvd/svcd had some success playing mini dvd on cdr but not perfect results the best cdr media to use is vivastar 80mins which are manufactured by vivastar ive tried 5 makes of dvdr and 3 of dvdrw and all played fine with all formats on them

N/A 1 of 10 Comments: CD-RW: tried many brands; the only that plays fine is TDK CD-RW 650 4x (takes a time loading and sometimes freeze, buts actually works) 700 MB CD-RW wont playing. CD-R: no brands worked. I tried Vivastar 80 min and it loads and plays but many many buggy picture. I confirm about VCD and SVCD. bye.

N/A No rating Comments: Same problem as first guy...CD-r does not work-says no disk....when on a cd-rw it says load for about 5 minutes and it tries to play the movie but all screwed up...anyone get this to work let me know...I have tried to burn a cd-rw about 5 different ways so I am sure I am doing the software part correctly. I don't know where to find the vivastar cdr but I will look for them and take that guys suggestion and see if it works. N/A No rating Comments: I tried a TDK CDRW (650 MB), both with a VCD file in 1.1 and 2.0. The player tries to read the disk, but keeps loading ... So I don't get a "No Disc" message, but I can't play the content either, since the player keeps showing "Load".

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: I've tried Traxdata Gold CDR and Plextor Silver for VCD and they don't work, player keeps saying 'No Disk'. Plextor CDR/W works fine. I'll be trying other CDR/W media shortly. Probably cheapo PCWORLD stuff to see if they will work.
