CVD? $175 1 days No rating Comments: I was looking for some info on this player,"dur-8.5" after I bought it on an "impulse buy" at walmart this afternoon. It has played sony + and - dvdr's so far. The + dvds were most likely bitset to dvd rom. It has Initial on the bottom,, just like the initial-dvd-9510 that it replaced,,,so I guess it is made by initial? screen looks good to me,,lol over 4 times the size of the dvd-9510.

This player has the same remote control so I bought it. It seems to have the exact same behavior as the 1700 ---plays all the same discs, etc. I'm giving it a high rating because I the 1700 is such a good player to me. Note I've only had it a day.
