CVD? $50 7 days 10 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Fabulous little player. It doesn't have an LED screen, but who cares? You've got an onscreen display anyway. You won't need to hack this puppy at all because it's multi-region and Macrovision-disabled straight out of the box, guaranteed. Plays just about anything. No component video output but it does have S-video and composite video out. I use S-video and the quality is superb. Audio out is composite stereo only, but if that's all you want, go for it. I understand that there's another Digitrex model above this one which has more home theatre-friendly features and it apparently retails for only about $78 AUD. This one was $56 from Big W Capalaba and it's an absolute bargain.

CVD? $40 180 days 10 of 10 Comments: Hi All Plays everything - got this one on special at Big W AU$56. to my surprise this unit does not have macrovision - I can backup my expensive Commercial DVD's to cheap +R discs without any problems. It is also Multiregion. Very Basic Unit but performs very well

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: Incredible DVD player for the money. I purchased it from a Woolworths supermarket for $90 NZ dollars. Although a basic design, it makes up for this with its compact size and good remote control. Played my DVD+RW home videos flawlessly and very fast at chapter skipping.

CVD? $50 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: After reading previous reviews i went out to big w and bought it for $96au. plays more than my Lg dvd/vcr combo. i tries playing a slideshow made from photo2vcd and played it magnificently. I would love to find out the MACROVISION hack for this unit. i am going to try to hook it up via s-video cable from dvd to tv , then tv out rca cable to vcr. As soon as i get a s-video cable. if any owners of this unit who have a s-video cable, please try this method and email me the result. excellent value for money unit.

I have tried and it played: Raw VOB files BMP Pictures JPG Pictures MPG's DVD MP3's 300 per folder And loads more...... It has a great remote and loads of features not found in big brand names. Nigel

It has twice as many useful features as my $800 Sony DVD player, such as zoom and multiple screen sizes. Very basic unit but great remote control.

CVD? $50 N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: For a US$50 DVD player, what more can you ask? It plays all my burnt SVCD/VCD and MP3 CDs. It is multiregion out of the box. The only thing I need to do is disable MACROVISION. It has more functions and reads more than my US$225 Panasonic RV-31!
