MP3 320kbit/s WMA CVD? $250 60 days 10 of 10 Comments: For the price, it is an excellent player. Have tried all formats of discs (except DVD-RAM, which it doesn't support), and have yet to have one not play. The upscaling on the digital output works very well. The 1080i and 720p output is much cleaner and more detailed than the progrssive component output. Using a Sony XBR 60 inch LCD rear projection TV. Tracks discs with errors OK, but occassionally has some problems.

CVD? $300 7 days 9 of 10 Comments: Excelent picture with DVI output 720p with projector Panasonic AE500. YUV connection is not so sharp, but very good (better then Sony 730). It plays a lot of DVD+R (Philips, Memorex, Sony, Verbatim) without problems.

CVD? $? 2 days 8 of 10 Comments: Just installed on a BenQ 8700+ DLP front projector. DVD Player has front selectable output for 480P, 720P or 1080i. 720P over DVI stabile, clean image over older Sony DVP-NS725P 480P over component. Will try other formats (SVCD, MP3, DVD+RW, etc) this weekend. Some macroblocking with darker scenes and potential pixel cropping (need to take a closer look), but so far great player for the money.
