CVD? $800 N/A 4 of 10 Comments: My own DVD+R discs showed severe freezing problems, and some were not recognised at all. It also failed to recognise some menus. DVD+RW discs played fine, even though the manual excludes them! More worryingly, the picture quality during playback of subtle dark scenes or uniform backgrounds on commercial DVD-video showed unacceptable pixellation artefacts and striations (which were not present on my old Panasonic SAHT-80). Display is a plasma TH 42PW3. Perhaps the player is faulty (I have sent it back anyway). Or perhaps I am doing something wrong...

CVD? $1000 N/A 8 of 10 DVD-RAM Comments: DVD+R, DVD+RW - not able to test with compatability bitsettings, default ImgTool settings work just fine.
