N/A No rating MP3 ID3 TAG MPEGISO Comments: No mp3 id3 tags. One CD would not work due to reading difficulties. I suspect a copy-protection, although nothing is noted on the CD. I will return the CD -- the player had no problems with a lot of other CDs.

The only problem is that it's not a pan & scan, so if you see a movie on a 4:3 tv it cuts the sides of the image

CVD? $50 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Code for zone free doesn't work (my player is version 2, manufactured in november'2000). When you enter the code,it doesn´t allow to change region (in my case 2). If you press play, the screen return to the set up general screen.

CVD? $40 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG MPEGISO Comments: This one is worth its money. I just checked some mp3 bitrate settings. 320 is the max I could generate using LAME. One weird thing: the parental control is switched on and to level 'adult'. This was the factory setting but I cannot switch it totally off since a password is required which I don't know. Probably it plays all films when in this PC level, but I want it off, principally.

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Bought in Mediaworld Milan (Italy) for 49€, scart cable, remote and batteries included. Reads VCD, SVCD, DVD+R, DVD-R without any problem. Regionfree hack worked perfectly with code "13798888".

N/A No rating Comments: The 2 posted hacks don't work: when you press "setup" and then digit the code 13798888, you obtain a screen with some items between them "version" and "region" (in my case set to 2): there's no way to acces the choice of the version or of the region code. If you press "play" as suggested, the menu disappears and it's substitute by the conventional menu. Anyone as a working suggestion?

N/A 9 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD JPG/JPEG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: This is really a great player. I costed me only 42 euro (no scart cable included) so I immedietly bought the player. I bought it to do all the basic things and it capable of it: show jpegs on cd/dvd, play burned dvd's/cd/vcd/svcd. The mp3 menu is not very beautiful and it reads only the first 11 characters so sometimes it's not possible to see which song was playing but for this price the mp3 play capability was more a bonus. It also can't play random and only from one directory at a time. I'd only one problem with a burned dvd+r where it couldn't play chapter 17/18 (the last) but there were really a lotta scratches on the outher circles. You can put a scart cable in it, cinch audio out and optical. In short, a cheap dvd player that can do all basic things.

CVD? $50 N/A No rating JPG/JPEG MPEGISO Comments: The things I tested worked well: cd-r & cd with audio, cd-r with jpg and mpg, dvd with films. The player could not handle file names that contained umlaut characters (German), but displayed garbage instead. A region code hack is available and very easy. Unfortunately, the player still obeys user prohibitions (cannot skip certain trailers or switch language/subtitles freely). Converts PAL/NTSC forth and back (both checked): could record an NTSC video on PAL VCR without problems.

N/A No rating DivX Comments: This dvd player is cheap but it's AWESOME!!! it reads every cd I tried(vcd,kvcd,svcd) with every bitrate/resolution I have tried. GREAT!!!!
