MP3 WMA CVD? $350 30 days 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG MPEGISO Comments: I've bought the model CH-LDV 1010RS from www.newegg.com for about $320 about a month ago. So far I am quite satisfied with the quality of this unit, especially taking into account such a low price for a 10" model. The biggest problem is perhaps its LCD screen, which is not quite "black", and this distorts the shades in the dark areas, nearly inverts them. To reduce this effect, I position the screen so as to look at it "from downside up" a little bit, but this is not very convenient method. It plays well DVD, DVD+R, and DVD+RW. As for DVD-R, about half of the disks I tried did not want to play. However, some of my DVD-R-s did play with no problems. It also plays VCDs, SVCDs, and miniDVDs. The bitrate limit for miniDVDs is around 6000 kbps. It recognizes ISO disks with JPEGs, MPEGs and MP3s. I did not like too much the quality of JPEG display, though. The battery life is 2.5 hours, as specified in the manual.
