It works excellent, but only on dual's firmware. Others players (also hi-ends) get stuck with these parameters. Has problems with CDs but works perfectly with DVDs (for ex.: DVD-RW pre-recoded about 50 times works still very well). Drawback- DTS audio doesn't work with dual firmware (works with oryginal CH FW).

Subtitles works fine (except black background). Pro: - DVD, Divx (Qpel), Xvid, ... - subtitles with Divx - multiaudio in divx - correct 16:9 screen handling for all formats - whole medium is ejected Con: - no real power switch (standby - 6W !!!) - terrible remote control - bad cyberhome support (bad orig. firmware)

MP3 WMA CVD? $? 14 days 9 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 ID3 TAG DivX XviD Comments: I bought this little baby a while ago. i had problems playing Divx and Xvids. Playing stops at the middle of the movie. Today I upgraded a new firmware. Default was: 025 Upgrade on 028 I tested the movies whitch didn't work nice. All seems to work now ok.

I had a file with both the orriginal audio and the directors comments in it, and by pressing the 'audio' button on the remote it switched between 'mp3-1 and mp 3-2' or something like it. Playback stopped though, but pressing the 'play' button made the movie resume from the same spot now with the other audio track. neat So far I have only tried this with one movie

CVD? $70 4 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG MP3 long filename DivX XviD MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: This player is good for it's price. However it do seem to have a few 'bugs' that could be fixed. I found a few minor problems with it. One is, as some have mentioned before, it seems to have problems with some xVid movies where the sound goes out of sync. So far I have not yet been able to determine why this is, because it's not a general problems, some xVid files play fine with no problem. It can be the version of xVid used for the encoding or maybe because the audio is VBR.. who knows. DivX works perfect. But I have a small problem with subtitles being displayd too low on my tv, so a option where you can change the hight of where they are shown could be nice. Framerate, it seems to play both standard PAL (25fps) and standard NTSC (29.97) just fine. BUT the, so called, movie NTSC frame rate (24.97) plays back jerky, i'm not sure if this is a settings problem (could be) but I still have to test this. But for 60 Euros I can't complain.

Sometimes showes me even the files that not be supported by the player! The subs work perfect either in dvd's and either on mpeg4 formats(supportes *.avi,*.divx, *.xvid files) mpg(mpeg) files are not supported! It even played a photo jpg disk with 3660 photoes in about 40 folders. It's realy a very good player for it's many! Reads the dvd disk that my previus player and my ps2 slimline didn't play well or at all! The only thing i didn't like was that the player although has support for subs(mpeg4) for Central and West Europe my country is not supported! But It's not a problem in 20 minutes and with 3 clicks i incorporate them in the avi file with avisubtitler. In addition does not read the *.mp4 files which you can make with nero recode. But i think it's not a problem because the recode uses divx codec for comresion so if i rename the file as *.avi or *.divx I think the player will recognise the file and play it. I didn't tried yet! I recoment this player in every one who is thinking of buying it. And the most importand I bought it with firm v.25 so any riskable update's didn't have to be done, and there is no bugs!

CVD? $? 7 days 8 of 10 Comments: bought one at a local shop for about 70 euro's. at first it didn't play my divx cd's. shoot ! after a while i found out that the player could not read the cd's that where burned on my laptop ! cd's burned (with low speed) on some other cd-writers are doing well on this player. the picture-quality of divx-movies is very good btw. Quite stupid however is the fact that the *.srt title- file must have the same name as the movie, it won't work otherwise. A firmwareupgrade could possibly overcome this problem in the (near?) future. so far, i like this little machine.

CVD? $60 1 days 8 of 10 MP3 long filename DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: I've bought this player to replace my old one (a mustek v560, which I had over 2 years and now got some trouble playing rented DVDs). In first place I upgraded to Fimware V25. I tried more than a dozen DVDs/CDs with different formats. None of them was not readable. And only played not as smooth as I aspected to be. (a SVCD) Fast forward/backward is also not as smooth as it was on my mustek. It plays well DivX, MPEG 1+2, SVCD, VCD and MP3 with different (also non standard) resolutions. Audio is really exellent and the picture is much better as I thought. A superb player for this low price.

CVD? $70 30 days 3 of 10 DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: worst thing ever! firmware .16 poor error correction on burned DVD+R(W), playback fine with DivX 5.xx (HomeTheater Mode), a lot of problems with Xvid (delay between video and audio, stops the playback), GOTO function (on MPEG4) does not work (sometimes it jumps to a point near your selection, sometimes the player starts the next file!) rating 2 for DVD-Video: rating 9

Bypass1: use cvbs output to directly connect to tv, you will be enabled to reset the menu to S-video Bypass2: upgrade the firmware directly to release V16 to be found on cyberhome.de regio hack specified for 452 works. At least the 0 is showing and staying in the menu.

It plays all kinds of DivX videos very well and the picture quality is outstanding for this very low price.
