DivX XviD
|
| Comments: |
Not a bad little machine. It played pretty much all DIVX/XVID files, plus had no real problems with most DVD-/+R's.
It obviously uses the same chipset as the Highlander DVD988 (http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers/highlander-dvd-988/6382) as it has an identical interface.
The downside of this machine is a couple of things. The machine only supports SRT DIVX subtitles. These are also small, and italic. Also the longevity of this machine was quite poor. Within a week it was making clicking sounds when reading a dvd/cd and finally stopped reading after only four months of use. |

It now looks like Macrovision is enabled by default.
The first few DVD's played ok but I just tried another
one and it showed the typical macrovision distortions
when being played through the Video-In on a VCR.
