Just purchased it and still playing with it. It didn't play my SD cards via SD port but would play them with a USB to SD converter. Will add to my comments as I play.

It has built-in SD card reader and USB port which are nice, but I don't know yet if it saves battery runtime compared to using cd or dvd disc. It could have been better had the SD card reader and USB port support SDHC card and SDHC card reader for bigger capacity. Plays mp3, divx and xvid movies from cd-r, dvd disc, usb flash drive and regular SD card. Plays DVD movies from dvd disc. Plays VCD movies from cd-r. Plays mp3, divx and xvid movies from my 4GB flash drive. Plays mp3, divx and xvid movies from my Sandisk 1 GB & 2 GB SD cards. Plays mp3, divx and xvid movies from my Kingston 2GB micro SD card with adapter. Does not detect my PQI 8GB SDHC memory card when inserted into its built-in SD card reader. Displays "NO CARD" on the upper left part of screen. Does not detect my SDHC card reader when plugged into its USB port. Displays "NO USB" on the upper left part of screen. Gets warm (hot) at the bottom exhaust holes if laid flat on a soft surface like bed or pillow. Had to use something to prop-up bottom side for air to get into the exhaust holes. Audio/Video out to TV works using the included cable. Nice machine. I'm happy. :)
