CVD? $? over 1 year 10 of 10 Comments: this player takes everything i throw at it. even dvd+r and dvd+rw works without a hitch. media i have tried are. memorex dvd-r works perfect sony dvd+r works perfect verbatim dvd+rw works perfect i think this dvd is a 10 out of 10. so damn cheap and takes everything, cant be much better :)

CVD? $? 360 days 4 of 10 Comments: All the functions where using a cd works fins, vcd/svcd and media compatibility is awesome, althou the dvd reading suck hard. Mine started of kind of nice, then run into problems reading all kinds of DVD-R/DVD+R/RW and now it wont even read original dvd´s. So i sent mine back to the store, hopefully i can play my dvd´s when i get it back, its really crappy that even original dvds stopped working, after all its a dvd-player...

N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Very cheap but also very good. The buttons are a bit hard to press on but for this prce it doesn´t matter. It plays everything i put in to it. I strongle recommend it.

I was pleased to see that the overall look and finish of the dvd was niceer than expected, not at all a plastic feel to it. Where it's features are conserned i've yet to put it through it's paces but i've tried VCD 2.0 with meny and a mp3 CD with folders, as well as a DVD of cource, and it all went of without a hirch. As too the remote i found it to work better than expected after all the bad critic it has gotten in the other reviews here. It's the "KF-8000A" remote. Sorry for the bad spelling, bet english is not my first laungage, then again i'm not that much better in swedish. I payed 1190 SEK = 138 $ = 128 €

N/A 4 of 10 Comments: There is a Swedish saying, and I will try to translate it; "Cheapienes always fools wisieness". Hehe, or you could just say, that Mr Cheap always fools Mr wise. And so he did in this case to, I bought the Centrum Gemini 200 because it was cheap, and since I belived it could play my DVD+R movies, which it couldnt. It couldnt neither play movies burnt with Nero, or copied orginal movies by DVD X Copy, and it loads ordnary DVD-vidoes slow..., and last, when you boot the DVD it shows the Netonnet.com logo on the TV, which is the only retailer of this DVD as far as I know, so dont buy this shit, unless you just want a cheap player who can play orignal DVDs, but if thats the case, there are better alternatives. BTW, I just got my new DVD, a JVC XV-N5SL wich plays all my DVD+R movies, hurray.. //Patrik a.k.a Marulk2, Sweden

Don't hesitate and send it back, you will receive a new one! It seems to be a known problem. The remote control is really crap (The Centrum Gemini has a perfect remote control, but bigger). Also the navigation was much better with the Centrum Gemini. They realy should think about going back to the older firmware and remote control. But beside those 2 minus points, the player is the most compatible one I ever had. Very good image and sound decoder.

CVD? $200 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename Comments: I've had this DVD player little over a week. It was a slow start but it seems it needed to warm up. Now just about everything I've tried has worked. I've had some problems to play some older cd-r's with mp3 on them, but most of my dvd/vcd/svcd/jpg/mp3 works just fine. Haven't tried with dvd-r/rw or dvd+r/rw yet. But at this very moment I'm very very satisfied with this cheap dvd player. Worth to buy!

I could try for an hour before I finally got the disc to eject. I seriously thought about switching brand, but I gave the player a second chance. The new one, that I received yesterday, seems to work just fine…so far…!

I burn my own VCD/SVCD discs and it plays them without any complaints. I use Nero 5.5.1.8 and TDK as media and it works fine. The only problem i have discovered so far is that Fast Forward/Rewind with picture does not work with SVCD. When trying to FF I finally end up in the beginning of the disc and gets stuck there with a sequence repeating until I press the Play button. This is a bit annoying. Does anybody else have this problem? Is there a solution to this or do I have to live with this*s*? I agree that the remote could be better. You have to aim carefully if you want the remote to control the player However, I think it is a great player for so little money.

Seems to be a software problem according to the help from the company. When playing DVDs the picture is very shakey from time to time. No problems with VCDs and MP3s or CDs. The player is very quiet(low noise) And very slim. And as ussualy the remote realy sucks!!! you have to point it directley at the DVD. The MP3 fuctions is also a litle bit lame, very strange menu. And the last complaint, the instruction manual realy sucks, it lists all the menu choices but har a poor explanation of what the settings realy do.
