CVD? $50 21 days 10 of 10 DVD-MP3 DivX XviD Comments: update on above comments. plays divx/xvid no problem, also mp3's on cdr and dvd-r play fine as do vcd's only problem still is the weak feal of the disk draw. For the price you can't go wrong for a dvd player that looks like it will lay anything you through at it.

CVD? $? 5 days 10 of 10 Comments: Bought from Argos in the uk for £24.99 Tested with the cheapest of the cheap dvd-rw (mr data 3 for £4) and several unbranded dvd-r disks, all played fine. Fairly quick to load dvd's. Only problem i've found so far is that the dvd draw is a bit on the thin and weak side so have to be careful putting the disks in, also doesn't eject fully so have to partialy insert the disk into the machine, other than that no problems so far. Player has a night mode for watching movies with lots of action/loud scenes at low volume and makes the audio on quiet dialog scenes clearer. Player also has its own volume control with 16 sound levels. Remote is a bit on the chunky side and the button layout could be better but does the job it needs to. Not tested divx playback on it yet. I'll update after tested more media/file types on it.
