The buttons on the player still function, and also the display still works ?? Can you perhaps describe how the subs are displayed whan playing a divx movie (size and color of the displayed subs ?). CVD? $? 21 days 9 of 10 Comments: Bellagio AD2020 do support subtitles. I have updated it with YAKUMO DX4 firmware. You just need to rename YAD2710G.BIN to YAD2020.BIN and burn!

CVD? $80 2 days 6 of 10 Comments: It is a shame for the producers and suppliers of Bellagio AD 2020 that it cannot show subtitles while playing DivX films. It is not an impossible thing, there are many DivX players which can do that, probably even in this price - category (PC-s can do that very flexibly anyway, for example with the program "Radlight"). My suggestion is: don't buy this player till it is capable of showing subtitles. I hope the producers and suppliers read this and fix this problem very soon with new firmware; many disappointed buyers expect them to do so (me included :-)) see http://forums.divx.com/viewtopic.php?topic=58621&forum=21 And the homepage is not very serious either, you cannot see at which date was the latest firmware issued, ... but as somebody wrote: .... the price ... :-)

Still no news about region free hack? Worth the money!!!

When the Vcd is loaded nothing happenes, only on display flashes red colour numbers VCD, thats all. And the second problem is that after approcsimatly half of movie (DivX) disk started to stop time by time (stupid!). My opinion is that this is not good product. O, yes, price....

MP3 WMA CVD? $70 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-WMA DVD-MP3 DivX Comments: The Bellagio AD-2020 DivX/MPEG4/XviD/DVD player from GERICOM uses the same Mediatek 1389DE chip as the Elta 8883MP4 player and therefore one would expect both players to have the same capabilities, but this is not the case. The Bellagio at half the price of the Elta 8883 is actually better at decoding DivX than the Elta player. If you don't need all the many connections for Dolby, etc. like the Elta has, then the Bellagio is by far the better choice (maybe this will change if Elta release a new software update, but they have been promising to release an update since the end of last year & still nothing!). Actually I bought this player at the MediaMarkt in Germany for EUR59 as a present, but I could make a comparison as I already own an Elta 8883. After buying the Bellagio, I first checked to see what software version it had by going to the menu and selecting the preferences screen and then keying in 1369 & the following was displayed: Version 05.00.02.03 SUB-VER 00.00.00.01. Then I tried some DivX movie files (which had problems playing on my Elta, like no audio sound) & they worked fine. I then went to the Balligio homepage & downloaded the latest software update [http://www.bellagio-home.com]& after installing (flashing the ROM) I got: Version 05.00.02.08 SUB-VER 00.00.00.03. For example, a DivX 3.11 file encoded at 855kb/s@25FPS(PAL)& size 720X336[2.14:1] with low bit rate audio of 64kb/s ran perfect, but on the Elta there was no sound. To check the details of my DivX files I used a small free program called GSpot. This player can also play DivX files which have dual audio in the same way as the Elta does (selectable audio tracks). Also one last thing, although it is stated in the user manual that this player is locked to DVD region 2, I could not check this as I only have region 2 DVD's.
