CVD? $90 N/A 4 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX Comments: This was a great player for the price but contrary to the other reivews I cannot get this unit to play VCD at all. Therefore I am taking it back. Everything else about this machine is great but its lack of vcd support really is disappointing.

CVD? $80 N/A No rating Comments: Verbatim DataLifePlus #94539/93717 DVD+R/RW work just fine. Both were mfg. in Taiwan. Burned with Sony DRU-510A. Verbatim ValuLife # 94004 CD-R also work as VCD's burned with Sony DRU-510A Had no problems with any of the above.

CVD? $80 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename Comments: This is actually a review for the Apex AD-1700M - The manual is for both AD-1600 and AD-1700M so they are most likely the same. The only diference I can find is that the AD-1700M is able to be used on 110 and 220 volts. i.e. It can be used in the US and Overseas. This player is awsome! I handles everything I through at it. .jpg - all you have to do is copy your files to a disk and put it in the player. Works like a charm! mp3 - same as above. Supports multiple folders. Only draw back is you can only see the first 11 characters of the file name but it does support long file names. SVCD - used CD-R Fuji Film and CD-RW Pengo 80 min/700mb. Using DVD2SVCD with CCE SP(as found on this site). All you have to do if follow the online directions and it work perfect! The picture is great! I used the defaults as listed on the site. VCD - Used all my old ones and they play just fine. Not as good quality as SVCD but that is because of the coding. I would recommend this player to everyone. So much that I'm buying 3 more for my family members for Christmas!!
