CVD? $150 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: This player is pretty good. Looks alrite, and does the job. i attempted to play some burnt dvds and it was pretty dodgy, the overall framerate of certain dvds was pretty crap... to the extent where it almost gave me a headache. i suspect its the poor quality dvd (imported from asia, probably not original copies) rather than the player itself. Has basically all the functions u could ever want, dolby and dts surround decoders, cdr, cdrw and mp3 playback as well. Its also multiregional. i chose this over the pioneer 344 becoz of the karoke function. IMHO karoke sux balls but my parents wanted the function (typical asian parents). THis is a pretty sweet player but get the pioneer dvd player if u can spare the extra $50 USD anything more and it aint worth it Also the akai website sucks balls... www.akai.com they never update it so its hard to find info on this player
