CVD? $? over 1 year 7 of 10 Comments: can play imation dvd+r's when using dvdshrink to copy dvds but can not play same dvd+r's when using nero vision express 2 to make a dvd from a divx file (the disc plays in every computer in the house except the ps2)

Has played 1-2 Verbatim, Ridata, Ritek G04, BeAll, and Accu/Piodata DVD-R.

CVD? $125 N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename DivX Comments: I have this for 3 years already and pretty happy. It plays very well all major formats and media. I burned many DVD Video on Sony burner with Nero 5.5. All play perfect. Then I used LiteOn 851S (3 times cheaper) with Nero 5.5 (or 6) it gives 30% of good rate, the rest say "CHECK DISK"; however I've seen recomendation here to use RecordNow, it works better. I prefer Tayo Yuden media. Plays only NTSC as I can see, no PAL unfortunately. No problems with VCD (PAL/NTCS). No problems with MP3 (but interface could be better) Thank you.

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: I have had this for a few years now (bought it for $349). Have had no problems at all in playing all VCDs, DVDs, CD-R/RWs, DVD+R/RWs, DVD-Rs.

CVD? $250 N/A 8 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: I have managed to play DVD-R but only by burning a DVD+RW first with Elby's CloneDVD, when it finishes the first burn, I just change the media and the second burn is done with the image of the first. But it plays fine with some media, specially the one prepared for inkjet printers. DVD+RW works fine, some glitches in some burns, but OK with most. DVD+R works fine, until now. Tryed Fuji DVD+R OK and DVD+RW HP OK too. GQ DVD-R only works with the procedure stated first.

N/A No rating MP3 long filename Comments: German: Ich habe mal 2000 den DVD-Player gekauft und hat eine sehr gute Bild- und Tonqualität !!! DVD-R kann der nur abspielen, wenn Du nicht mit NERO brennst, sondern mit z.B. VOB,.... Ich weiss nicht warum, aber das sind nun mal meine Erfahrungen ! Auch wenn du 1:1 Kopie machst nicht mit NERO, das geht damit nicht ! Dann sucht der immer die DVD (Disk überprüfen). Gruß Henning !!!

It wooks with TDK DVD-R Media and Apple DVD-R media. I burned them with a Sony DRU-510A using Nero and DVD Decrypter. So far evey thing works fine. I am real satified with the player

N/A 7 of 10 MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Plays DVD-Rs burnt on a Apple Macintosh. I used the new Pioneer A05 in Powermac G4 and a cheap DVD-R disc. Software: DVD-Backup -> DVD2ONE X -> TOAST. Works perfect. Other DVD formats I could not try up to now.

The player offers a good composite output(RGB) that is an improvemet over S-VHS. I use it with a non-digital 70" Misubishi Projection TV. I was also very pleased to see that the player supports both DVD-R and DVD-RW as I purchsed a Pioneer A03 last year. It is still a strong component in my setup.

Works using DVD+R (Tested Verbatim and Maxell 2.4x media written using a NEC DV-1100A drive and Nero 5.5.10.15 (DVD-Video type disc from VOB and IFO files). Does not want to play DVD+RW media (Tried Verbatim and Maxell, worked ONCE then never worked agian with DVD+RW media).

Im using RecordNow MAX 4.1 on XP prof.

Also VERY slow to load or seek chapters in factory DVD's. Did not play DVD+R UDF/ISOmode1, 6000 kbit.
