MP3 VBR WMA CVD $125 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX DVD-RAM Comments: - Actual cost for me - $127.83 US Electronics in India are expensive. - came multi-region out of the box - I never paid anything or did anything to get it chipped!!!!!! - No playback problems with any CDR-RW so far. Lables on the set claim compatibility with DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW but I have not been able to test it out. - Converts VCDs and SVCDs from PAL to NTSC and NTSC to PAL (I have tested this). However, it will NOT do that with DVDs (I have also tested this) - WEIRD!!! - does not play MP3PRO files. -CD/DVD text ability. Overall, good machine, especially if you can get it cheap in other countries, just make sure that it is multi-region. Lacks a few features like built in DD/DTS decoders and the ability to play jpegs but you cannot have everything and this is a Sony, I am told.

Good looking, I think it's same as sony ns530.

Not a top of the line DVD player (No P-Scan, Optical out, etc.), But it’s an AWESOME DEAL for what you get. I paid only $80 Cdn at Future Shop. Can’t complain with that!

N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Very Nice Unit. play's like a dream all CD/R material that I give it, and has never let me down yet. I use Nero for the setting up of the VCD's so life is simple. Sound quality is amazing and picture quality is superb. Aiwa (Sony) N-2-2 3d sound for normal Speaker set ups is also a nice touch. Remote is a bit small buttoned, but thats like everything nowadays. All in all if you see this unit, buy it, Ive had other makes (Sonic Blue, Oritron, Matsui etc) that all let me down big time!

N/A 6 of 10 DivX MPEGISO Comments: Plays VCDs and SVCDs flawlessly. I've tried it on cheap media, like Princos and Pine cds, and they play perfectly. Plays almost instantly when play is resumed from a fast-forward unlike the Samsung C631 which takes a few seconds to resume. Bought this DVD Player at Best Buy for $119+taxes CDN. No Progressive Scan.
