Aside from this, the player works well and I've had no problems in the 2 years that I've owned it. It lacks some features that would be nice (eg mpeg playback) but the features that it does have work without problems.

CVD? $90 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Plays both VCDs and SVCDs as far as I can tell. I just use nero and burn them. So far it plays all that I want it to play. If you want a dvd player and still want to have some money left to buy some DVDs then I recommend it.

CVD? $50 N/A 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename Comments: porks with pine dvd-r 4x maxell dvd-rw 2x maxell dvd+r 4x curssor cdr vcd memorex and verbatim cdrw. also mp3's on above cdr cdrw and dvd-rw disks. pbc support for vcd but was unable to play svcd mini dvd. Happy with it's dvd support wish it would play vcd.. not a bad player for $60 cdn at xscargo..

CVD? $? N/A 10 of 10 Comments: I burnt a movie that I made onto a TDK DVD+R at school on a TDK Burner. Works fine. VCDs that I have with TV-Shows Work fine as well.

If you already have several dvd-r's make sure they play first. great for vcd on cd-r, has PBC menu support.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: The Player is good value for money, it plays all my VCD and also my 'backup' copies of ripped DVD transferred to Divx then onto VCD converted via TMPEGenc and VIRTUA dub and then burned with 'VCD Easy' I have tried converting to SVCD and then placing on disc but the player doesn't seem to play SVCD discs?
