CVD? $80 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I use this unit purely as a playback device for DVD-R's and DVD-RW's edited on a computer, and burnt with a Pioneer A04 drive, in order to record the made films onto videotape. I have used the following disks with no problems at all;- 1x Datasafe media DVD-r's, 1x Datawrite classic DVD-R's, 1x Datasafe media DVD-RW's, 2x Bulkpaq DVD-R's, and 4x Verbatim DVD-R's. All the above types of disk played without a hitch, and based on this experience I can't see it having any problems playing any other type of cheap DVD blanks.

N/A No rating Comments: The 421/521 hack does work but..... Remember to press setup on the remote then use the Next Previous Next Previous buttons on the player not the remote. It plays VCD's and SVCD's really good quality If you want the same quality as 421 and 521 and connecting the player through your HIFI buy the 321 all you lose is the LED display on the front of the player. 5.1 output If you connect your player through your video use the hack to disable the firmware naughtys or the quality is a little red
