CVD? $125 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Just got this at Argos in the UK and it works great..the speaker are quite clear if not the loudest and the subwoofer could have better bass but not at this price...another review from Neil says the UK was region 1...WRONG..its region 2 and the player is not region free out of the box so of course it would not play a region 3 disc. Use the region hack and your opinion of this player will change..as a 1 stop solution its great.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: This super cheapo player (£60 at richer sounds) has played all the DVDs i have thrown at it (burned in iDVD on Mac) and also VCDs i made in Toast. I am no expert on VCDs, but there were long pauses between tracks on the VCD, but i had burnt lots of separate, very short (4-10 second) movies on it just to test that VCDs worked. while playing the VCD tracks there was no freezing. DVD region hack as mentioned on here worked fine - there seems to be no way off turning off macrovision - BUT i'm not so sure there is macrovision on here - usually it messes with my projector but i had no trouble playing things through to my projector with this player. All the connections for 5.1 are on the back of this player too which i think is quite cool and you can adjust volume directly with the DVD remote - i've never seen this before! 7 out of 10 because although this DVD player is excellent in so many ways this is not the best quality picture i have seen from a DVD player - lots of 'jaggies' on strong diagonal lines (especially obvious in 'Tron'!) - but it looks fine for general viewing.

CVD? $100 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Just bought this Acoustic Solutions DVD 150 i live in the UK region 1 so wanted a Multi Region just got a Region 3 disc wont bloody play the thing ??? what's the point of a multi region DVD if it does not play them not a happy chap
