Burning reliability is Good. PC reliability is Good. DVD reliability is Good. Media color is Silver. Media text is Verbatim 4.7 Gb DVD+R 16x. Media package type is Cake Box. Number of discs 100. Media made in Taiwan. Authoring/Burning comments: Slide presentation authored with Pinnacle Studio 10.5 and burned with Nero VE 3.1.0.21. After a couple coasters and getting the right combination between these 2 software, finally got excellent results on the Panasonic. Backed up DVD movie using DVDFabDecrypter, DVDShrink, and burned with ImgBurn 2.1. Used Liteon's bitsetting utility (1.3.5) to change book-type to DVD-ROM before using ImgBurn. Again, DVD works excellent in the player after a few more coasters and research on this web-site and others. Thanks to the info on this web-site and tips from others who have posted. I love the Panasonic player and now I can use quality R+ media even though its specs say it can't. Will try DL soon now. Works fine on Panasonic DVD-RP62

I have never had a burn fail and the lngevity so far has been good (store them properly they will last), but I have only used true Verbatims there are some fakes on the market. However, after watching DVD from begin to end, it freezes EVERY TIME on EVERY disk. So far, it only goes smoothly with Panasonic DMR-E15. It totally shakes my trust with Verbatim.

On the Centrum Gemini350 it play without any problems, burned with all the different speeds. Upgraded to latest FW on CG340 but it doesn't help. Works fine on Centrum Gemini 350 Does not work on Centrum Gemini 340

Using BenQ DW1650, with SB/off, I get Kprobe PIF in the range of 100-200 with 1block max at 2 consistently, and some times even below 100. Using Lite-ON 1635, PIF is only slightly higher. But the Lite-On burns it much faster (under 5min) than BenQ (7 min), both at 16X. I was able to burn my dvd-video fine, but my so called "multiformat" dvd player would not play it. I reburned the same dvd video onto a 8x fuji dvd-r and it played fine.
